Adonexus Acceptable Use Policy

Policies Governing the Use of Services & Misuse Scenarios

1. Compliance with Documented Instructions
   • The data importer (Adonexus) shall process personal data only on documented instructions from the data exporter (Customer).
   • If the Customer or its users process data in violation of the agreement or applicable data protection laws, this may be considered misuse of the service.
2. Prohibited Uses & Misuse of the Service
   • If a Customer misuses the service in a way that violates contractual obligations, such as:
     • Processing data beyond the agreed purpose.
     • Disclosing personal data without proper authorization.
     • Failing to comply with security obligations, potentially leading to a data breach.
     • Using the service to process sensitive data without ensuring proper safeguards.
   • Adonexus reserves the right to suspend or terminate data processing services if misuse is detected and compliance is not restored.
3. Data Retention & Deletion Upon Termination
   • If a contract is terminated due to misuse or violation, Adonexus will follow data deletion or return procedures.
   • If local laws prohibit deletion, Adonexus will limit processing to the extent necessary and notify the Customer.
4. Obligations in Case of Government or Third-Party Requests
   • If Adonexus receives a request for disclosure of personal data by public authorities, it will notify the Customer unless legally prohibited.
   • Adonexus will challenge any unlawful requests and only provide the minimum legally required information.

Consequences of Misuse

If the Customer is in substantial or persistent breach, the data exporter has the right to:

• Suspend the service until compliance is restored.
• Terminate the contract and require Adonexus to delete or return all personal data.
• Seek legal remedies or compensation if the breach causes harm.
